Post-Publication Discussion Policy
The Jurnal Riset Manajemen dan Bisnis Dewantara (JMD) encourages constructive scholarly dialogue, critical engagement, and evidence-based discussion of articles published in the journal. The post-publication discussion mechanism provides an opportunity for researchers, academics, practitioners, and other members of the scholarly community to submit comments, critical observations, questions, and clarifications concerning previously published articles.
The purpose of this mechanism is to promote academic exchange, strengthen the transparency and credibility of published research, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge and practice in management and business, including accounting, financial management, marketing, human resource management, strategic management, operations management, entrepreneurship, corporate governance, and related disciplines.
1. Scope of Discussion and Submission of Comments
Post-publication discussions may address various aspects of articles published in JMD, including theoretical foundations, conceptual frameworks, research design, methodological approaches, data analysis, interpretation of findings, and scholarly contributions. Discussions may also examine the validity and robustness of reported results, alternative interpretations, research limitations, managerial and practical implications, opportunities for further research, and potential errors or concerns relating to research integrity and publication ethics.
Researchers, academics, practitioners, and other interested readers who wish to comment on a published article are invited to contact the JMD editorial office through the journal's official communication channels. Submissions should identify the article concerned by providing its title, author(s), year of publication, and DOI or article URL, where available.
Comments must be written in clear academic English and maintain a professional, objective, and respectful tone. Submissions should focus on the scholarly content, research methods, findings, interpretation, and academic contribution of the article rather than on personal opinions about its author(s). Relevant evidence, theoretical arguments, empirical findings, and scholarly references should be provided where appropriate.
Personal attacks, defamatory statements, unsupported allegations, and comments unrelated to the scholarly content of the publication will not be considered for publication.
2. Editorial Assessment and Author Responses
The JMD editorial team will assess submitted comments based on their relevance, academic merit, clarity, originality, supporting evidence, and compliance with the journal's editorial policies and publication ethics standards.
Where appropriate, the editorial team may invite the original author(s) to respond to substantive comments, questions, or criticisms. The original author(s) will be given a reasonable opportunity to provide explanations, clarifications, or evidence-based responses.
Comments and responses considered suitable for publication may be published as scholarly correspondence, a formal post-publication discussion, or another appropriate publication format, subject to editorial assessment and the journal's applicable procedures. The editorial team may request revisions or decline submissions that do not meet the journal's academic, editorial, or ethical standards.
Publication of a comment or response does not necessarily imply that JMD or its editorial team endorses the views expressed. The contributors remain responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and content of their respective submissions.
3. Publication Ethics and Research Integrity
JMD is committed to preserving the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the scholarly record. Concerns regarding potential errors, methodological weaknesses, data integrity, plagiarism, inappropriate citation practices, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or other possible breaches of publication ethics will be assessed carefully in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies and applicable scholarly publishing standards.
Where necessary, the editorial team may request additional information or supporting evidence from the parties concerned and may undertake further assessment in accordance with the journal's established procedures.
Depending on the nature and severity of the issue and the available evidence, appropriate editorial action may include the publication of a correction, clarification, expression of concern, or retraction. The submission of a comment, criticism, or allegation does not, in itself, constitute evidence of research misconduct.
All concerns will be handled impartially, with due consideration for the evidence, the responses of the parties concerned, confidentiality, and procedural fairness.
4. Fairness, Transparency, and Editorial Independence
All post-publication discussions will be handled objectively, fairly, and independently. Editorial assessments will be based on the scholarly merit of the submission, the evidence presented, its relevance to the published article, and its compliance with JMD's editorial and ethical standards.
Where appropriate, the original author(s) will be given a reasonable opportunity to respond to substantive scholarly criticism. Editorial decisions regarding the publication of comments, responses, corrections, or other post-publication notices remain the responsibility of the journal's designated editors.
JMD does not permit post-publication discussions to be used as a means of personal retaliation, harassment, or the dissemination of unsupported allegations. The journal seeks to ensure that scholarly disagreements are addressed through evidence-based argument, professional conduct, academic freedom, and mutual respect.
5. Contact Information
